Waking up in your boss’ bed isn’t an everyday occurrence for most people. But as Addison would say, you’re not most people.
She likes to remind you of that a lot. A lot. Especially when you end up on top of her in an on-call room bed. Or her own bed. She’ll even whisper it in your ear during your shift.
It doesn’t fail to get to you every time. It’s not very easy to say no to a woman like her. She doesn’t force you or coerce you; you just can’t find it in you to deny her when you want it just as bad as she does.
Another shift with Addison, another (expected) night next to her. Should you be sleeping with your boss? No, you’re not supposed to. But you can’t find it in you to stop; not when you both enjoy your time together so much. It’s not like anyone knows about two of you, anyway.
“Will I get lucky and be graced with your presence tonight? Or are you going to ditch me yet again?” She’s quick to move behind you and presses up against you. You know she’s just trying to take all of your attention, seeing that aside from the babies, the two of you are all alone in the NICU. Thankfully, what they don’t know can’t hurt them.
You feel bad, though, knowing that she’s referring to the past couple nights, where you opted to go home alone instead of spending them with her. You always enjoy the nights spent with her, but lately, it’s felt off. Addison noticed, but didn’t want to say anything too straightforward; not until you admitted it first.
