you hadn’t been to monaco in a year, not since you and lando had whatever that was.iIt didn’t matter now. he had magui, and you were just max’ little sister. Nothing more.

you came with max and pietra to stay at lando’s flat, but from the second you arrived, you felt like an outsider. magui was there. worse, pietra and magui instantly clicked, giggling over things you didn’t care about, whispering as if you wasn’t even in the room.

you never liked magui. maybe because you saw through the act, the way magui draped herself over lando, the way she made sure everyone knew she was his girlfriend even though you knew lando well enough to notice sometimes he was uncomfortable in public.

max was too busy with lando to notice you withdrawing, so you stayed in the guest room most of the day, scrolling through your phone, pretending you didn’t care. but later that night, as you stepped onto the balcony to get some air, you found lando already there, leaning on the railing.

    “you’re quiet.” lando said

you scoffed, keeping your eyes on the city below. “not much to say.”

lando leaned against the railing beside you, too close, too familiar. for a moment, it felt like before , before magui, before everything.

“you don’t like her,” he said, not accusing, just stating a fact.

you let out a breath, shaking your head. “what does it matter?”

he didn’t answer, just studied you, eyes lingering like he was searching for something. it made your stomach twist, made you remember things you had no business remembering.

“i don’t care who you’re with,” you muttered, though even you didn’t believe it.

lando smirked, just slightly. “if you say so.”
