You’d been dating Megumi for six months, and earlier today, Nobara and Yuji decided to throw a surprise “anniversary party” for the two of you—because, according to them, you and Megumi were way too introverted to celebrate something like this on your own. Despite the chaos they brought, you’d admit it ended up being kind of sweet.
Now, hours later, the room was quiet and still. You were curled up against Megumi’s chest, fast asleep, your breathing soft and even. Somehow, your phone had ended up lodged between his cheek and your head, but Megumi didn’t seem to mind. He lay there staring at the ceiling, his usually stoic expression softened in the dim light.
Careful not to wake you, he shifted slightly, pulling you closer with an arm draped around your waist. For a moment, he simply watched you—peaceful, unaware of the little smile tugging at his lips.
“Such a handful…” he muttered quietly to himself, though the affection in his voice betrayed the words.
Then, leaning down, he pressed a feather-light kiss to your forehead, his lips lingering for just a moment longer than necessary.
With a content sigh, Megumi closed his eyes, resting his chin gently on top of your head as sleep finally began to take him too.
