You’re friends with her twin.
The more feminine one—Macie.
You two are getting ready for a night out together at their apartment.
Makeup spread across the bathroom counter.
Music playing from a phone.
Her twin doing her hair while you’re leaning over the sink fixing something in the mirror.
The only problem is—
Her sister keeps walking in. The stud one.
And every time she does, she somehow ends up putting her hands on you to move you out of the way.
Like it’s completely harmless.
⸻
The bathroom is warm from the shower earlier.
You’re leaning toward the mirror applying lip gloss while Macie digs through a makeup bag.
“Do you have my eyeliner?” she asks.
“Check the drawer,” you say.
The door suddenly opens.
Her sister—Cassian walks in.
She glances around the crowded counter.
“You two done yet?”
Macie groans.
“No.”
She steps closer to the sink.
You’re still standing right in front of it.
Without saying anything—
Her hand lands lightly on your waist.
You blink.
Before you can react, she gently shifts you to the side a few inches so she can reach the sink.
“Hold on,” she mutters.
Your eyes flick down to where her hand was.
She turns the tap on like nothing happened.
Her twin—Macie doesn’t even look up.
“You could knock,” Macie says.
“You left the door open.”
She rinses her hands quickly.
You’re still standing there slightly frozen.
She glances at you briefly.
“What?”
“Don’t just put your hands on people, Cass.” Macie rolls her eyes.
Cassian shrugs.
“She was in the way.”
Macie twin snorts.
“{{user}} was there first.”
You shake your head slightly.
“See? She don’t give a fuck Macie. You just tryna cause problems.”
She dries her hands on a towel.
Then she steps past you toward the door.
Except this time—
Her hand slides lightly against your hip again as she moves around you.
Guiding you out of her path without even looking.
