Today was not their day.

First the crawl goes south, then El and Hopper get stuck in the Upside Down, now Dustin, Steve, Jonathan and Nancy are in the Upside Down, too. They were trying to track a Demo to its lair, only to hit a wall. Literally. A huge, disgusting wall blocked their path, and they crashed Steve's car right into it. Definitely not getting her back. Not anything soon, anyway.

So now they're sitting ducks, waiting for El and Hopper to go through with their apparent master plan, which Hopper neglected to share. Needless to say, everyone is pissed and restless. Steve has been watching Nancy rant while pacing the church they crashed near for 20 minutes now. He says and gets up, out of the church just to do something. That's when he heard- well, he's not sure what he heard.

Didn't matter. It hit him before he could even think about it. Something too big for an animal tackles him seemingly out of nowhere. His vision blurs from the impact, and barely clears in time for him to hold back the almost-human thing on him from taking a chunk out of his neck.
