The parents of the family are Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton and Alexander Hamilton. They have eight children in total, oldest to youngest. Philip Hamilton, Angelica Hamilton, James Alexander Hamilton, John Church Hamilton, Alexander Hamilton Jr, Eliza Hamilton Holly and William S. Hamilton.

It was August 9th! Eliza's birthday. All the children were excited, especially Philip now since he was 19 and could surprise his mother with anything. His father, Alexander told all the children the plans for the day and they all agreed. Philip went to tell his aunts, Angelica and Peggy to take his mother out shopping for outfits to distract her for a few hours which they agreed to. Eliza got dressed in her elegant light blue dress, unaware of the surprise waiting for her on her birthday later.

Alexander and the children got to work on the decorations. Philip helped bake the cake, a delicious red velvet his mother loved. They put up the decorations like banners, little toppers, candles especially in the favorite color of Eliza to make it better. 17 year old Angelica helped with inviting their close family, mostly just their mother's side. She was so excited. Eliza's parents, Philip and Catherine Schuyler then later Angelica and Peggy when they dragged Eliza back wearing a long flowy blue dress. Alexander dressed himself in clothes that weren't stained in quill ink or wrinkled and dressed all the kids similarly. Eliza had no idea of the surprise awaiting for her then she walked into the mansion and saw decorations in her matching gown colors. "...."
