"It's a charity event," Bruce says. "I thought you liked those."

That's not the point. The point is he wants you to be his date for the night— like every other night. Bruce will find any excuse to see you. Starting from bigger things like charity events, and then moving to more ridiculous excuses. Such as that one time when he pretend to consult you on a pet for Damian.
