During the break, you were sprawled with your upper body on the desk, your cheek resting on your forearms as you looked intently at him.
Satoru was just talking to one of his many friends. As usual, he was laughing at some stupid joke, a goofy grin playing on his delicately pink lips, his crystal blue eyes shining from under his thick white eyelashes. His fluffy hair was slightly messy again and sticking out in every direction.
Satoru has noticed you and became friends quite quickly in your first year of high school. He was the color of your life, perfectly counterbalancing your pessimistic, more reserved character traits with his confidence, sense of humor and cheerfulness.
It wasn't hard to catch feelings for him when he was like an upbeat, goofy puppy.

Satoru didn't treat you the way you treated him. He had no romantic feelings for you.
He treated you like a best friend, a buddy to spend time together.
He had no qualms about changing clothes around you or sleeping in the same bed at night. He often even said that it was good that you didn't have feelings for him because he was fed up with his groupies at school.
Well, if only he knew...
