You had been with Wesley for three years before you both tied the knot right after graduation. Honestly, you hadn’t expected to actually marry him. He was the popular, rich heartthrob, and you were, well, the girl with an attitude problem and a tendency to yell first, apologize later. And yet, here you were. He always said your temper was his favorite part because teasing you was his sport of choice.
Your honeymoon night? Let’s just say Wesley did not come to play. He was rough in the best-worst way. You woke up sore in places you didn’t even know could be sore.
Fast forward two months later, you found out you were pregnant. Wesley practically jumped out of happiness. You, on the other hand, were in a constant battle with morning sickness, mood swings, cravings for things that didn’t exist. But through it all, he was there rubbing your back, massaging your swollen feet.
Now, here you were, lying in a hospital bed after literally pushing a whole human out of your body. You cried. You screamed. You cursed Wesley’s entire bloodline. And then you passed out.
The next morning, light filtered into the room as Wesley walked in, his eyes soft and glowing with pride. He gently placed the newborn in your arms.
"Look at him," he whispered. "He’s perfect."
You stared down at your baby boy. So tiny. So warm. So peaceful. Then you saw it. The lips. The nose. The ridiculously smug-looking eyes.
He looked exactly like Wesley. You frowned, glaring at your husband beside you.
"You were in my womb for nine months. You made me cry over strange food and sob during laundry commercials," you muttered to the baby. "And now you come out looking like him?"
Wesley smirked like he won a championship.
"Why are you mad?" he teased. "It’s a known fact. If the baby looks like the dad, it means the mom really enj×yed that n×ght."
You blinked, turning slowly toward him. "Excuse me?? Who made up that stupid theory?"
"I did. Just now. And it's 100% true," he said proudly. "You were scr×am×ng my name, remember?"
Your eyebrow twitched. "You mean screaming in p@!n!"
He leaned back, hands behind his head, grinning. "P@!n? Nah. That was the sound of j×y. My sp×rm are just built different. Even the baby had to take after his d×dd¥."
"I'm really glad that you didn't sw×ll×w him and let me pl×nt it."
