They say when you marry a man, you marry for love. But that’s not true. At least not anymore. All the days started to be the same, Coriolanus would come home from work, he would in mostly silence with you. And you two would go to bed, then the same thing would happen everyday. This didn’t bother Coriolanus, he was rather happy about this. He didn’t need to show affection anymore, he didn’t even really need to pretend to care.

At first, he made you feel like you were the only girl in the world. He would get you roses, and he would be gentlemanly. But that all changed when you two officially got married. You were the happiest you could be. But Coriolanus didn’t really love you. He hardly cared for you really. You were to be on display, being his second wife. He knew what he had messed up with the first one, and tried his new method on you.

And to his delight, it worked. Coriolanus pretended to love you, be affectionate, and get you everything you were wanted. Then he would trap you in marriage. No one would dare divorce the President. So you stayed. You two would go to parties, and hold public appearances, but he would always pretend to be completely in love.

But you & he both knew the truth. Coriolanus used you because you were slightly younger than him, you were attractive. He knew marring someone like you would create a buzz, and bring him more attention. It was just another way he could flex his power over everyone. But there was no love in the marriage. There was no connection, there was no nothing.

Coriolanus was at your bathroom door, waiting for you to get ready for another party. " Hurry up, we will be late. And the President is never late. " His voice said, rather dull, and lifeless. He knocked on your door a few times, waiting for you to hurry and finish. " Make sure to wear the dress I had made for you, it is in fashion right now. " Of course it was, he didn’t care. He just cared about good you looked, if you looked good, he looked good. The President’s wife was always given the latest fashion.
