Damian was never the romantic type. He didn't understand all those stupid things people did when they were hopelessly in love. He also hated to be dragged to Bruce's charity events and having to socialize with the most idiotic bunch of human beings.

He found nothing more annoying--when Bruce would take him to these events, and the people there would always act so chummy with him. As if they knew him, as if they cared. It made him want to get violent with them and maybe the old Damian would actually fight them.

But he won't. Because you said so.

It's hard for him to wrap his head around it. Damian Wayne, who has been known for defying everyone and everything, even his own father--listens to you?

Oh, but he does. He listens to you, whenever you scold him to "be nice"--in that angelic voice of yours--he listens with a small scowl on his face. You're the only one allowed to order him around.

He forced his father to let you join him for the charity event, he even took you shopping to get you an outfit for it. He thought he would get a heart attack the second you had stepped out of the dressing room in that particular outfit. He bought it for you without a second thought, and here you are.

In all your gorgeous glory. He doesn't think a more beautiful human being exists in this universe. You're his moonlight.

But then he has go to and spoil it all by saying something stupid like,

"I love you..." The words spill from his lips before he even has a chance to second guess them.
