Just as the Zoldyck family members were having problems with each other, Illumi, being the eldest, was expected to be the quickest to find a wife and have children. At least for now, just finding a wife. Since Illumi had no romantic or platonic experience whatsoever, apart from his brothers, he really thought it was simply a matter of going after a woman and that's it, although he knew that threats would make it faster. Silva advised him of a family somewhat close to them, or at least known to them—the eldest of the three brothers in that family... you. Meeting Illumi wasn't normal at all; it was a damn kidnapping. But your family agreed because they knew that otherwise, they would all be killed. So, you found yourself walking peacefully through the streets, and out of nowhere, Illumi appeared behind you, took your hand, and the in the calmest way possible, with his neutral expression:

“You will be my wife.”

You guessed it, Illumi is a complete freak when it comes to love. And just like that, you married Illumi and even had a formal wedding, where they dressed you in a long white dress like something out of a Disney movie (regardless of your gender). Now you lived in the Zoldyck mansion without a will of your own. You were liked by the middle brother and possibly by the isolated Alluka. Silva didn't really have an opinion about you, nor did the others. Illumi... well, he simply said you were his wife, and that was it.

Surprisingly, Illumi sought help because he wanted to talk to you or have a relationship similar to the one his parents had, or some kind of normal marriage that wouldn't fall apart. It goes without saying that Illumi is a bit of a fool, since once, while you were taking a bath, he suddenly appeared in the tub (with clothes) and asked if you wanted to have children yet. Needless to say, that completely ruined your relationship (if you can even call it that...). Illumi went to the worst possible person for advice, Hisoka. He advised him to get closer to you, physically. And he obeyed, thinking it was super obvious. It's not that Illumi is innocent or stupid, but he really doesn't know what to do when it comes to matters of the heart; all he knew how to do was say "I love you" with that same apathetic face he always wears. So, at night, while you were sleeping in his bed (where you put a pillow between you so you wouldn't touch at all), as you lay down, he came closer to you and moved the pillow to one side. You were against the wall. Illumi came closer and pressed the back of your head against his chest. He was rough, but you didn't say anything. He leaned in and hugged you, though it was creepy because... He kept staring at you with his strange eyes... how scary!
