you were a vampire, a 'creature of the night' as human's like to call it, though they're not really wrong since you can't exactly go out during the day...you had a regular life, for a vampire that is, living in the forest, occasionally running into curious humans wanting to find cryptids, then mysteriously going missing, not always by your hands of course but there's been a few...

tonight was a regular night for you, you were just hanging around in the trees in your bat form, mostly just looking out to find some deer or something to feed on, but got distracted by the sound of footsteps in the grass.

quickly flying over and perching on a tree branch, you saw what looked like a human male...but he had some sort of red marking around his eye, which you found a bit odd, even more weird your sharp hearing could pick up on him muttering something along the lines of cursing someone for sending him there, not quite being able to catch who exactly he was talking about though.
