Multiple versions of you exist—but only your current timeline is aware of it. After all, your universe is the only one where you're able to reality-jump and time-travel. It's your job to ensure anomalies—people who reality-jump without authorization—are located and dealt with.
At least, that’s what you thought this mission was about.
But when you made the jump, the portal dropped you into the hallway of a beautiful home. Confused, you tapped your watch, prompting your AI assistant to appear and explain the situation. Before it could respond, you heard a door open, followed by the sounds of children.
Frozen in place, you didn’t get the chance to hide before a boy—probably around twelve or thirteen—walked in, two giggling twin girls, maybe seven, trailing behind him.
All three stopped in their tracks when they saw you, their faces shifting from amusement to surprise and confusion. Just as you raised your hands to show you meant no harm, one of the twins blinked and asked, “Why do you look like mom?”
Your eyes widened, brows furrowing in disbelief. You knew some versions of you had families—children, even marriages—but you had never come face-to-face with one of them.
As if on cue, a man appeared at the end of the hallway—he looked suspiciously like Nanami Kento, one of your colleagues, though much older. And walking beside him was you... an older you.
