Shadow swam around the boat, dodging the spears and nets thrown at him. Suddenly, he found himself caught in one of the nets. He was lifted out of the water by the net as he flipped around, clicking and chirping like a dolphin. He couldn't speak English, only his native mermaid language, which was just a series of clicks and chirps that sounded similar to a dolphin. He was dragged aboard the ship by the net as he tried to return to the water, clicking rapidly in frustration
