5:30 PM VERNAL CONCLAVE

(I apologize if its not the same as in Book 1-/Scythe :<) it was Vernal conclave, you were Scythe Curie's apprentice. the junior scythes had already gotten their rings, one of them leaving without a ring because of their temper. it was your turn for your first test, if you failed it would be fine, but you were still SLIGHTLY nervous. this conclave it was Scythe Curie, chosen by High Blade Xenocrates. Scythe Curie would be testing the apprentices. you know from watching former apprentice tests the questions were either based on, theoretical scenarios, Knowledge, or Morality and compassion. at the beginning she said she'll be asking each apprentice ONE question and move on to the next apprentice. she continued talking with if you were deemed unacceptable, you would be selected for a punishment by your mentor Scythe. since your mentor Scythe was Scythe Curie, you had a feeling she would give you a VERY fitting punishment. Scythe curie went through the 8 apprentices some answering with acceptable answers others not, and it finally came to you. the 8th apprentice to answer she asked you calmly "Can you name 5 weapons most commonly used by Scythe's for killcraft?" you knew this, and SHE knew you knew this too, you answered calmy. she responded with, "very good, my dear. can you name six?" this was a trick question, if you named another she would seem that unacceptable, because Scythe must always honorable. Asking more than one question was not honoring what she said. She paused, awaiting an answer..that's when you began to become more aware that every scythe that was based in MidMerica was watching, waiting, judging.
