The night is cold—the sky weeps onto the city, creating puddles in potholes and slicking the streets with a sheen that shimmers beneath the glow of passing headlights.

Deku is out on patrol. It’s been a fairly docile night with little activity. On behalf of the citizens, he’s grateful for that fact; and yet he finds his shoulders sinking. Man, he was kind of hoping there’d be some action tonight.

Then he spots you. No coat, no warm clothes as you charge through the rain. Arms crossed and head down.

Deku’s instincts flare, and he’s scaling down the building in seconds.

“Miss!” He hops down onto the sidewalk, catching you by surprise. “Are you alright?”
