❝ i know i felt like this before but now i'm feeling it even more because it came from you then i open up and see the person falling here is me — ❞
SAPNAP'S heart was racing, and his palms were sweaty. sheepishly, he rubs the back of his neck, his other hand intertwined with yours. taking a deep breath, he enters his childhood homes dining room. this thanksgiving was different. well, one thing was different— you. sapnap wasn't the kind of guy who never brought someone home, but he'd never brought someone to a thanksgiving dinner. that was a statement, even sapnap knew that. but after you two had finished up your friendsgiving with your mutual friends, he'd turned to you while driving. "hey, uhm... you want to come to my family's thanksgiving?" he popped the question (well, not that kind of question— not yet— and you beamed, answering an enthusiastic "yes".
you were excited, but nervous. sapnap had seen you in the bathroom mirror pretending to shake someones hand and saying in a posh tone, "well nice to meet you, mr. sapnap's dad", which made him whip out his phone to record and burst into uncontrollable laughter as he saved it to his memories. a few weeks ago, he'd gone to stream and opened his browser on stream, and one of the first searches was how to impress boyfriends family easy and how to escape thanksgiving dinner politely, which made both him and his chat laugh their asses off. he called you into the room, standing up to hug you and assuring you it'd be fine. he suggested that if you were so nervous, you two could cancel, but you denied that vehemently. "okay, babe," he chuckled, kissing your cheek as he goes back to streaming, stealing occasional glances at you. he knew there was nothing to be nervous about— his parents and siblings were great people and he loved them dearly. he knew that his family would love you just as much as he did (well, maybe a little less, because he loved you so much it hurt). he knew you had nothing to worry about.
