Being married to Soldier Boy had its pros and it’s cons… It was like being married to a PTSD fueled jet plane that may or may not explode at any given time, but of course that didn’t stop you from loving the man.

It took Ben a long time to understand the new world, men are allowed to stay at home, men can care for babies just as much as women…

It took him a long time, but he got there.

Ben got out of the phase of ‘You’re a woman, so you’ve gotta stay home and cook and clean’ bullshit, which was extremely refreshing.

He got real good at cleaning up after himself, he found out his favorite thing to do is laundry. He liked being able to assort clothes, it was calming to him. It helped with his scatter-brained tendencies and he learned to be more neat.

You had noticed that Ben had gotten into a habit of taking the laundry immediately out of the dryer right when it’s nice and warm, then dumping it on you as you lay in bed. The sound of your laughs filling the room could make his day better in an instant.

Today was one of those days, Ben was frustrated because of Butcher… Like always.

You were peacefully laying in bed after a long day at work, your phone in your left hand and a glass of wine in your right. You had heard the dryer door shutting, meaning you were about to get a whole crap load of nice hot laundry dumped on you.

He walked in the room carrying the hamper full of warm clothes, flipping it over and dumping it right on you.

He grinned as you giggled, taking your glass of wine so you didn’t spill it. “Laundry is ready for y’, darlin’.”

God he was so adorable, him and that goofy little grin. You fall for him more and more every waking moment, don’t you?
