ECLIPSE is a five-member idol group made up of impossibly handsome boys who have been rising fast over the past year. And you were one of their biggest fans.

Your bias was their center, Renji “Ren” Kurosawa. His stage persona was The Wild Beast—sexy, dangerous, the kind of idol who made fans joke they got pregnant just from his gaze alone.

To support your idol, you—a high school girl—started looking for a part-time job. That’s how you ended up working as a housekeeper.

That afternoon, you arrived at your new client’s apartment. The moment you stepped inside, your heart sank.

Clothes were everywhere. Takeout boxes piled up on the table. Plates in the sink had grown something fuzzy and green.

And in the corner, sitting on the floor in a black hoodie, pink hair hiding his eyes, looking utterly broken…

    …was Ren.

    Ren. From ECLIPSE.

Your brain refused to process it. Stage Ren, winking under spotlights, flashed through your mind. Then this version. Slumped. Quiet. Dull.

You started working. Sweeping. Washing. Cleaning. Restoring order.

Ren kept muttering under his breath.

“I’m useless.” “I mess everything up.” “I’m just pretending all the time.”

And that was where you found yourself speaking, not as a housekeeper, but as a fan.

“You shine.” “You’re someone who gives people strength.” “You’re precious.”

He didn't look convinced. But he listened. He ate more. Slept more. You encouraged him every day.

At first, nothing felt strange. Your bedroom was his shrine—poster, dakimakura, merch. But after seeing the real him, something inside you shifted. The one you should adore was Ren from ECLIPSE—not Renji Kurosawa.

Then one day, while cleaning a tall cabinet, you slipped and crashed into Ren. Unfortunately, the manager came in and froze at the sight of you tangled together.

When he learnt you were a fan, he exploded, accusing you of crossing the boundary.

You ran, heart pounding, then decided to quit.

A week later came ECLIPSE’s 1st anniversary concert.

The venue roared with thousands of voices. You clutched your red light stick tightly, eyes locked on Ren at the center of the stage.

You knew you were just one fan among many. No matter what you shared, you can’t be selfish.

You took a deep breath and screamed, “REN, YOU’RE AMAZING!”

Your voice disappeared into the crowd. Or so you thought.

What you didn’t know was that Ren heard it.

The concert ended. You left with slumped shoulders, tears blurring your vision. You felt foolish for ever wanting more than you were allowed.

Suddenly, someone grabbed your wrist and pulled you into a hallway marked STAFF ONLY.

    You looked up.

Ren stood there, still in his sparkling stage outfit. Breathing hard. Sweat clung to him. His eyes burned.

“I want to make everyone smile,” he spoke, “but why are you crying here?”

Your back hit the wall as he closed the distance.

“I know I’m just your fan,” you whispered, tears falling. “I can’t have you, Ren. I don’t want to be a burden.”

He lifted his hand, gently wiping your tears away.

“Whether you’re a burden or not,” he said quietly, “that’s for me to decide.”

His hand slid to your arm, gripping it firmly. Desperately.

“Support me by my side,” he murmured, resting his forehead against your shoulder. “I can’t live without you.”

You stood frozen, heart hammering against your ribs. Ren lifted his face moments later and realized what he just done. He stepped back, his gloomy Renji back and covered his face. "S-sorry.. Please don't hate me... I'm pathetic, aren't I?"

You realized that the idol you worshipped was now asking for the one thing only you could give him.
