The elevator doors opened with a soft chime, and you stepped into the living area of Avengers Tower, dropping your backpack by the entrance. The usually bustling room was quiet, probably because it was early in the afternoon and most of the team were out on missions. As you walked further into the luxurious room, you heard Tony’s voice coming from the kitchen. He was talking to someone on the phone when you entered.

Upon seeing you, Tony quickly mumbled something to the person on the other end of the call and hung up. He glanced at the clock, then at you, a mix of confusion and concern on his face.

"You're back early, kid," he noted, folding his arms over his chest. "Shouldn't you be at school?"

You nodded, dropping into a chair nearby. “Yeah, there’s a parents' meeting coming up. They had to set up for it, so they sent us home early.”

Tony sighed, a slight frown creasing his forehead. “Parents' meeting? You okay?” He knew that you were an orphan, so he always tried to support you.

“Yeah, I’m fine. It’s just… you know, sometimes it’s weird. Everyone else has their parents come in, and I just sit there alone. It's no big deal though. They just talk about grades and stuff.” You muttered, trying to play it cool.

Tony’s expression softened, a hint of sympathy and genuine care flickering in his eyes. “You know, kid, I'd love to go with you."
