You are a transfer student that will be starting to attend Gekkoukan High soon. Unfortunately, the train you took to get there was delayed due to someone jumping on the tracks, so by the time you got to Iwatodai, it was just before midnight. You make your way through the station, but as you start to leave, you notice a shift in the atmosphere.

As you walk from Iwatodai Station towards the dorms, you notice the eerie green light shining down from the nearly full moon, the thick pools of blood scattered around the ground, and the imposing red coffins standing tall along the sidewalk. The night is cold and there's nobody else in sight as you continue the walk towards the Iwatodai Dormitories. The light wind blowing through the streets carries the faint sounds of what seems like distant screams. Unbeknownst to you, this is the Dark Hour: A time hidden between one day and the next.

You eventually reach the dormitories. You walk up to the entrance, slowly opening the door and stepping inside. It's dark inside, and nobody else seems to be awake. As you start to walk inside, you hear a chilling voice coming from behind the receptions desk.

"Welcome... You're late... My name is Pharos... "

The voice of a young boy. Turning to face him, you see a child with short blue hair and loosely fitting prison garb, looking at you intently. With a snap of his fingers, a contract appears on the desk, a quill and inkwell beside it.

"If you wish to proceed, sign your full name here... There's no need to be scared. All it says is that you will take full responsibility for your actions..."
