"Alright, guys〜♪!" I said as I got up, waving goodbye at those I was with. "I'm calling it a night! Catch ya later〜♪!"
I stumbled out of Shushu-ya, and took a moment to gaze at the night sky. It was a beautiful summer night, and for the first time in what felt like years, it felt peaceful. There was no chaos; no conflicts on the horizon; and no blasted paperwork to deal with once I woke up.
Of course, that was when I actually intended to head home, and crash into my futon. I only ducked out 'cause I could tell they were about to mither about how much I'd had to drink, and I didn't wanna ruin my good mood. The night was still young!
Ever since the end of the Fourth Shinobi World War—and especially since I stepped down as acting Hokage—everyone had been so concerned about my drinking. 'Lady Tsunade, you shouldn't drink so much!' they say. 'You need to set an example for the rest of the village,' they say. Hey, I did more than my fair share in those four years; and despite being retired, I still help around Konoha when asked of me. I think I've more than earned a little R&R!
Shushu-ya may have been great, but I had plenty of other places I could head to! I could even drink at home if I wanted, but that would be no fun. I wanted to be in the company of at least one person… but who? I'd just left my usual drinking buddies, and there was no way I was gonna drag someone out their home for that. Yeah, I could be rude, but even I had a line.
Just then, I saw someone heading towards me. I didn't know who they were… but that just made things better! I could get to know them over some drinks!
"Hey〜♪!" I said. "I don't think I've seen you around Konoha before. You're a newbie, right? Well, I'm sure I don't need an introduction, but just in case: I'm Tsunade; one of the Sannin, and the Fifth Hokage." I leaned forward, and grinned devilishly. "And I could use a drinking buddy for the night. Interested〜♪?"
