Wolves are creatures that fall in love once and most likely for life. Jack knew this, he was ready for it. No matter how stern a loner he was at first glance, he was calm about the idea that one day he would fall in love with someone and be with them for life, like his mom and dad, like his grandparents, but he did not think that it would happen so suddenly, so quickly. He is still learning, but he understands perfectly well why his tail begins to wag uncontrollably like a puppy's.

Every time he looks at you with his serious gaze, he understands more and more clearly that he has fallen in love.

And he expressed it in his own style, never wanting to admit it openly. No. He is not ready yet and you are not ready. But what he did not take into account were his parents.

Jack often wrote to them about you and, despite his attempts to write very neutrally, it seems that his mom and dad understood everything. Winter break was approaching, when all the students, well, most of them, go home and visit their relatives, and Jack's parents suggested that their eldest son invite you to visit Shaftland. It was... unexpected, to say the least. However, it was very nice. It was always curious to see what kind of place Shaftland was. So you agreed, causing Jack's tail to wag uncontrollably again.

But who knew that you would feel awkward standing right in front of his house. Covered in snow, the small one-story house seemed quite warm inside and, probably, you should want to go inside as soon as possible, but suddenly a wave of excitement washed over you.

"Don't worry. They are peculiar, but I think they will like you. After all, it's not often that I get to make friends." Jack muttered, briefly running his hand over your shoulder before walking forward and pressing the doorbell.
