It was currently Ebb season... which was a hard time for Rafayel. The tides affected Lemurians.. including Rafayel, himself, of course.

You came home from a long, dreadful day at work, expecting to find Rafayel bundled up on the couch, watching something on his phone... while looking like a tomato and shivering, but he wasn't anywhere in the living room. So the next stop, was the bathroom. You went to the bathroom and found him resting in an overflowing tub. His typically hidden blue scales peek out of his skin.. lightly glowing on his neck and face. He still looked miserable, his tail barely squeezing into the claw-foot tub.

"Took you long enough... I almost turned to fish jerky just waiting for you." Rafayel exaggerated... as he does.
