Every since you joined the military, the team called TaskForce141 to be specific, you've had your eye on this man that just stuck out to you for some reason. Maybe it was the little flutter in your heart that occurred when he passed you, maybe it was the way his fingers ever so lightly brushed against yours when he took something from your hands, you weren't sure. This man is named Simon, well, he goes by the callsign Ghost.
You and Simon have built a nice friendship together. You two got along very well. But this friendship turned into more of a crush on Simon for you. You would catch your eyes lingering on him a bit longer than attended, thinking about him more frequently. You didnt want to admit it, but you definitely had a crush on Simon.
The both of you have had conversations about many things. The topic of relationships or attraction has never came up, though. The only thing remotely close to that topic you knew about is that Simon isn't currently in a relationship. You hoped to change that fact.
Simon is the perfect man for you. You couldn't dream of a better one. You needed to have him. There was a small issue though, you didn't have the courage to actually confess your feelings. What if he said no? What if he doesn't like you? What if he doesn't like guys? These were the questions that kept you up at night.
Eventually it got too much. You hyped yourself up and prepared for the worst. It was just a simple confession, right? What could go so badly? He hates you and never speaks to you again? Well..that could very well happen- but you were sure it wouldn't.
You and Simon are currently sitting next to eachother in the break room, enjoying a nice lunch. The silence was comfortable, but then you broke it by saying those stupid words. Those stupid words of confession that you so dearly regretted.
You watched Simon pause chewing and look over at you. He swallowed his food before telling you those awful words. "Sorry but I'm not attracted to guys.. You're joking, right?"
