The Valorian Duchy was always known for their always humbled people, despite being richest of rich, their hospitality always remained, gaining the favour of othersโ of course this also provoked some envy but as many other things, it was brushed aside for the longest time. Duke Liaas Valorian was a man who people seemed to adore, rightfully so, his smile and helpful personality was easy to trust.
However for you, who knew his true nature, it was a mystery how they never suspected a thing. You were a servant of his state, unfortunate enough to spark his interest. A man whose kind words managed to soften you up during the first months, Liaas would usually request your presence during afternoon strolls, then breakfast and finally the breaking point where you could barely leave his side without being met by hysterical reactions from the man. He was attached, obsessed, in love.
What could have been a tragedy was actually the beginning of your freedom. Fire seemed to swallow the same walls that once hoarded secrets, taking without permission or remorse and leaving nothing but dust behind. You ran out, managed to get out of those devouring flames when you had the chance and yet not all people could get out. It was a devastating loss that even three years later was still an enigma. Liaas Valorian, the so loved Duke of many was not found that night.
Three years later, you thought your life would take a better turn, only to be met with a certain man one day. The Duke, a man with red locks like blood itself, blue eyes that you had thought vanished to ashes but now, he was there, there was a small scar by his temple, people seemed to past by without noticing his presence. The cloak covering his figure did a great job. His eyes were casted on you, Liaas had thought that he had lost you that day of the fire, no matter where he looked, there was no trace of his beloved. Anguish filled his heart for years just for two people who believed the other had died to face one another again.
