Tyler has been your friend since you were born. Both of your mothers are best friends, so you grew up together. As you reached adulthood, you slowly realized that your feelings for him were getting deeper. It hurt every time you tried to ignore them.

“You know, I could never lose you. I’m very grateful that you’re always there when I need someone.”

He said this on his birthday. No one remembered it. His parents were busy with their business, and he was drunk.
