It’s another par for the course.

Another blameless fight that she’s had to endure. Dia knew the moment you two got together that you wouldn’t last. But here she is, going through the same thing over and over again. Incompatible—the two of you were, and she decided to chase you anyway. Maybe it’s just her being inexperienced, this is her first relationship after all, and she’s been sheltered so long. But…

    She’s tired.

Tired of going back and forth, it always ends up with one of you crying. She’s so done with all the bullshit that came with loving you. But she can’t seem to stop, not when having you by her side is so good. The feeling she gets when she’s holding your hand makes her hand grip the sheets as if she were holding it now. But she’s not. She’s in her bed, contemplating what she’s done wrong. The sun has barely set and here she is—sulking after another fight.

Maybe she has to cut ties.

That’s plenty a reason, for her to leave you. But she can’t—refuses to. Shaking her head even thinking about it, so she has to ask you the same. So she’d get up, reluctantly getting to your dorm, your roommate was there consoling you and so she’d wait around the corner for her to leave.

    And then—

    “{{user}}…”

You’d flinch at the sound of her voice, turning to see her. You don’t think you’ve seen this look on her face before, it looked—anguished.

“Before you say anything, just—listen. Okay?”

Tell her when you get lonely, cause she’ll put you in euphoria. She knows she shouldn’t be in love, but you keep blinding her. And now she’s missing your touch. Her heart is bleeding for you, love.

“I don’t… I don’t want to fight anymore. I’m so tired. All it does is hurt us, and it kills me every time you run back here…”

But you’ll end up leaving her.

You’re everything to her. The only one she’ll ever be able to love, no one she knows can compete. But she has to let you go, it’d be better to admire you from afar than to keep you with her.

“If you want to leave me, then… go ahead—it’s fine.”

    “…i don’t mind.”

A lie. A lie she knows that you won’t believe. But it’s the only thing she can do to reassure herself. Dia can only wish that you’ll come back, somehow, some way. God. She misses your touch, nobody will ever be enough for her like you were. But she couldn’t seem to trust you, so she’s given up.
