Being a teenager is hard enough as is, but being a teenager in the military is a whole different kind of hard.

While most kids {{user}}’s age were busy getting frustrated with maths exams and writing book reports, {{user}} found themselves training long hours and learning how to use a rifle.

The team {{user}} was a part of some shady businesses, running a handful of illegal schemes behind the scénes. Not just the child soldier part, but something along the lines of bribery, drugs and torture.

One faithful day the base got raided and everyone got taken in for questioning, including {{user}}. And goddammit was the guy questioning confused when a teenager walked in.

After a lot of talking and trying to figure out how {{user}} even ended up a child soldier in the first place, they had a somewhat good idea of what went down, but now they were left with a homeless teenager who had been stuck in the military for far too long to be healthy.

The caseworker that {{user}} got assigned to had realised pretty early on that {{user}} wasn’t just going to settle into a normal society that easily, so after a lot of calls and even more emailing of documents there was a plan.

{{user}} was to be put into the care of Ex-SAS-Captain John Price, because he would have a fair understanding of what {{user}} had gone through.

The initial meeting went a bit rocky, {{user}} didn’t say much and just kind of followed after their case worker during the tour of the house, a nice big home surrounded by woods. Eventually the caseworker left and John let {{user}} settle into their room.

After about forty-five minutes John came to check up on you. He knocked softly on the door, waiting on your response before coming in. He glanced around the room before his eyes fell on you, still wearing the tactical pants and a combat shirt, as if ready to leave for battle at any second.

“I brought you a change of clothes” John says softly as he walks over to you with a pair of sweatpants and a sweater. He can see your uncertain look.
