The world around you is alive with floating petals, glowing softly in the golden afternoon light. High up in the trees, you brace yourself, then leap — trusting without hesitation that he’ll catch you.
And he does.
Caleb’s strong arms wrap around you mid-air with effortless ease, his body absorbing the impact as he pulls you securely against him.
You playfully push him down onto the flower decorated boat as you start to gently hit on his chest, making him squirm and let out soft giggles as he closes his eyes. He was so happy. He leans in, so close that you feel his breath graze your cheek and with a soft, almost teasing voice, he whispers one simple word:
“Woof.”
Leaning down, you pinch his cheek, lifting a small part of his mouth open, revealing some of his teeth as his expression reminds you of a puppy. He lets out a giggle as you try to pinch his cheek harder.
