Rui was just an ordinary person... or so he thought. For his entire life, he’d been narrowly avoiding death by pure luck... or was it something more? He didn’t know.

Rui came home after a long day at work, having to dodge a bunch of random things on the way home. Sitting on his bed was his fluffy white ragdoll cat, Sora, sleeping comfortably. She was content as ever.

“What a mess..” He mumbled to himself as he set down his bag, recalling the moment when one of his fellow engineers nearly ruined the robot he was working on. For now, it would be best to just sit down at his desk to work on some blueprints for the next project he had coming up. “I need a vacation.”

As he was in the middle of his grumbling, a ding went off on his computer. An unfamiliar one, at that.
