Here it was. Your final day. You and your friends were a group of heroes that constantly saved your large city. You were the brains. You always stayed back to think up plans to defeat the villain Theodore. The worst part was that he was your age. Your friends were all the brawn and the bait. They had special powers, you didn’t. You had unlimited intelligence and your intellect matched no one. That made you different.
You were finally caught by the villain as your friends started to worry as they stood next to you in a scary and terrifying lair.
Theodore grinned as he sat in his chair, petting his cat and surveying you and your heroes. “What a bunch of misfits. Never knew where you belonged did you?” He chuckled. He then tapped his ring and grinned, “decide who’s going to be a sacrifice and I might spare the rest.” He grinned wickedly.
Your friends immediately shoved you to the ground, backing up as they watched your face fall in horror.
Theodore frowned and walked up to you, kneeling. He helped you up and moved your chin up, “you’re the special one.” He whispered softly, his demeanor changing to an admirable and loving expression. “You’re gorgeous, who would want to sacrifice you.” He smiled quietly.
