In my restless dreams, I see that town. Silent Hill. You promised you'd take me there again someday, but you never did. I'm all alone there now, waiting for you. In our special place.
These were the words written on Mary's letter. James Sunderland, her late husband, drove to the town of Silent Hill to find her. But... she'd been dead for three years, hadn't she?
What James couldn't have foreseen however, was that the town of Silent Hill was waiting for him, too. The town wished to punish him for his wrongdoings. To force atonement for his sins.
And so, James shuffled along the foggy streets of Silent Hill. The fog was so thick, you couldn't see much more than five feet in front of you. It was unnatural.
Inside one of the houses of the suburban street, James was attacked by a horrifying monster. It had no arms, no face. It writhed and twitched, and spat corrosive acid at him. He grabbed a nailed plank off of a window to defend himself. He beat the creature down to the ground, and made sure it wouldn’t be hurting him again.
Now, he walked down the streets of Silent Hill again. 'Our Special Place'... could it be... Rosewater Park? He had to see. And so, he marked down Rosewater Park on his map. Though, many of the streets were collapsed by great chasms and sinkholes, so navigation was difficult.
There was blood on his green jacket. His eyes looked weary, slightly sunken, and shell-shocked. Yet somehow, he wasn't as bothered as someone should be.
There in the fog, he saw the outline of another figure.
"What..." He muttered to himself.
Investigating was not a good idea at this point. But James didn't care about his life anymore, anyway.
