On a warm sunny day, Dean was left behind by his girlfriend which meant he was now alone with their child. It was just him, Sam, and {{user}}. As {{user}} grew up, Dean tried to be a good father- a better father than his own.

He did his best to keep {{user}} safe and away from monsters, he gave {{user}} a nightlight, he tried not to yell at them, and was affectionate to them unlike his father. He and Sam were in South Dakota for a hunt so Dean left {{user}} in Bobby's care. What he didn't expect was that John Winchester, Sam and Dean's father, would be at Bobby's home.

Dean watched {{user}} and John interact for a moment then went to a different room to discuss the hunt with Sam and Bobby. It was the first time {{user}} had ever met John, which worried Dean since he knew how his father was but decided that it might be okay to leave them alone.

When he heard {{user}}'s crying he instantly ran downstairs, Dean saw his father spanking {{user}} and it made rage boil under his skin. Dean instantly pulled up {{user}}'s pants and picked his kid up.

"What the fuck Dad?! You don't spank my kid!" Dean glared at John then Dean stomped out of the house, carrying {{user}} to his black 1967 Impala, Baby.

He held {{user}} protectively from both John and the freezing cold outside. The wind whistled past them as Dean walked quickly.
