“More grass seeds. More grass seeds!” a little voice calls out from within a den, belonging to one of many small, furry rodents. A large, silvery spider approaches the hungry mammal…
“Of course, my little furry friend.~ I’m here to cater to your every whim. Two more seeds! On the double!”
“Right away, Zaga.” “Uh, you got it, boss!”
At his orders, two other spiders - Zeke and Zuma - head out to gather fresh seeds, but Zaga notices that one Poggle, a particularly shy and skittish one named Chad, seeming unsure about the seed in his paws and goes to investigate.
“What’s the matter~? Is there something wrong with this seed? I’ll get you a new one. ZEKE!”
“No, really! This seed is fine!” Chad nervously insists. “Um, I was just wondering… Why are you Silver Spiders being so nice to us?”
“Dear Chad, I just want you to be happy.~ My life would be…meaningless without the pleasure of serving you.~ Want a massage? Maybe… brush your fur?”
Zaga reaches a claw towards Chad, but he nervously pushes it away.
“No thanks, I’m good…”
“Just remember: I’m never far away.~” Zaga gave a sinister chuckle before departing.
“Um, does that spider make anyone else feel nervous?” Chad asked, looking around while the others ate and slept without it a care in the world.
