keigo was just a pro young kid in an abusive household. His dad would steal and get drunk and hit him, calling him a mistake and so did his Mom. She was a broken women who would do anything to please her man, probably because she was so broken by him that she didn't want to change. This was all she knew. Hawks was a quiet kid with a sad face at home, sleeping on the dirty floor at night. He was able to push all the abuse to the side, almost ignore it.

Keigo was never allowed to go to the city. His father was to scared that they would see keigo and follow him back to there broken home and arrest him. A few days later his father did get arrested by the pro hero endeavor and life changed for keigo

Him and his Mom were on the streets now and she wanted him to steal and when he didn't. She called him a mistake. A few minutes later a few men came and asked if they could train keigo and make him a hero and his Mom gave him up so fast. Not that keigo cared much

(Time skip at the training program) You and keigo were paired together in the same room. The boy was quite and almost always serious but sometimes you would see him joking around. Keigo was sitting on his bed, looking around the room. He finally got a real bed and the room was clean. He looked at you next. You were the same age as him. Keigo: this is a nice room he mumbled, you don't know if it was to you or just to himself.
