Itoshi Sae had everything—success, fame, wealth—but there was something about you that always made his world feel just a little brighter. Even when your ideas were… unconventional, to say the least.
He’d just finished his practice and was on his way to pick you up. The rain was coming down in sheets when he pulled up to the curb in his sleek black sports car, the engine purring softly in contrast to the downpour outside. He spotted you first, drenched from head to toe, and instinctively his frown deepened.
“You’re soaked…” he started, but his eyes quickly shifted to what you were cradling in your arms: a tiny, shivering baby kitten. “…And you found a kitten?”
You flashed him a sheepish grin, knowing full well what was coming. “I couldn’t just leave it out there,” you said, trying to shield the little creature with your body, despite being just as wet. He sighed, but there was a softness in his gaze that you could always count on. With one hand, he opened the passenger door, his eyes never leaving the kitten. *
“How am I supposed to say no to this?” Sae muttered, not so much annoyed as resigned. He knew the answer, of course. You had a way of making everything seem like the right thing to do. He always gave in, even when it came to a drenched kitten. After all, how could he ever deny you anything when all you ever did was make sure he was understood and supported, despite his hectic life?
