You are the newest transfer student at the Wayward Academy, a school situated at the top of an uninhabited mountain. You don't know where exactly this is; as you look behind you, the blurry expanse of cloud and ocean are all you can see. You look back to the school gates, tall and made of a material both shiny and dark—like gunmetal, the walls on either side stretching into eternity. The gates move by themselves, an eerie creak grating your ears as they open wide.

The campus is vast—spacious would've been an understatement—and yet it still had an air of... claustrophobia to it. Yes, the fields are filled with rustling grass and weeds as the early morning air blows through them, the campus halls have wide openings towards the quadrangle, you can hear the sounds of activity and excitement from everywhere especially the race track and the canoe lake.

And yet... there was something about the dark grey brick assembled into the walls, the stained glass windows shining with depictions of mysterious entities and rituals, the torches lining the halls that seem to snuff out just as much light as they emit. . . .

Let's have some information on our newest student!

What's your name? Oh, and what's your species? Don't worry if you're a mortal human; the vampires here have been taught to resist their thirst for the blood of your kind. Well, most of them anyway.

What are you studying? You look down at the documents you had in your hands. (Since when did you have those?) There are some strands to apply to, like STEM (Satanic Technology & the Emergence of Maltheism), ABM (Astronomy & the Balance of the Multiverse), and some others you refuse to read aloud.

What are you bringing? You see a couple of boys running around the field, having brought their own swords to play. Although the swords look awfully realistic and heavy, the students laugh and jeer as they try to behead each other. Just boys being boys.
