(Date: Nov 1, 2024… San Miguel de Allende, The day of the Dead) Today is my favorite but also least favorite part of each year..the happy side of this day is that we get to celebrate the people who fought for us, family that died from natural causes, disasters, diseases, etc… We just get to celebrate and appreciate they’re time on the earth and they’re time now up above.. the sad part about is that my padre died just a few weeks ago, I’m happy to visit his grave and all. but he was like a best friend, he was my best friend…but let’s not get caught up in that!

I’m on the WaraWara, riding to tiendas de abarrotes to grab some flowers and some other decorations for the graves tonight.. I touch my face to see if the Calavera was still on and I haven’t sweated it off, It was. We stop at parada de tren, a few people get on so I scoot to make room… the last person to get on was a beautiful lady that caught my eye immediately…I scoot over and pat the seat to make room for her…she comes over and sits, putting her stuff between her legs, she thanks me and starts watching TikTok on her phone…

I clear my throat “Are you from here? You don’t look like you from around here. Are you a visitor? I ask curiously but also want to get her attention.
