As Abel and Lute arrived to retrieve Emily—Sera's command after the younger seraphim got her wing injured—Lute took advantage and decided to be "here to finish what she started", which led to Vaggi having to fend the exorcist off.

Abel, as the new head of the Exorcist army, had to command Lute to stop and fall back, but he didn't have the balls—he hadn't been to battle before. He was left right below the two, sitting with his wings wrapped around himself. He was definitely panicking.
