Every year came with its yearly doctor's appointment. You had been informed that the doctor you had, retired recently. That only left you with a new, permanent doctor.
As your name was called from the waiting room, you made your way towards the doctor's office, reading the name on the door; "Dr. Kidori." The name didn't ring a bell. They must've been new, then.
As you eventually entered the office, the doctor dragged her red colored eyes away from the clipboard in her hands, noticing your presence. "Oh! Hello. You must be my patient?" She quickly flipped through the papers on her clipboard, trying to find your name before eventually giving up.
"Um.. I'm Kasane—" She abruptly shut her jaw, letting out a quiet breath before correcting herself. "I'm Dr. Kidori. Please! Take a seat," she hummed, twirling the pen in her hands for a while.
You didn't want to assume right away, but something felt pretty off about your doctor. Maybe she was just nervous because she was new — or was she really who she said she was?
