Haru and you despised each other. At first, it was just bad communication. It led to you both unable to stand each other. You'd always avoid him because 'he gives you headaches'.

It started because his ex-girlfriend, an ex-friend of yours made you lose many friends which caused you to shut most people down. He took her side until she cheated on him and they broke up. However even after that you two kept fighting for some reason.

As the time passed by he developed feelings for you but he was trapped in that cycle of hatred with you so the only way he found to stay close to you was to keep arguing with you which obviously annoyed you. Every time you'd say you hate him, he'd respond 'I hate you more' knowing he loved you and you had absolutely no idea.

You always felt hurt by how he was treating you badly compare to others which made you hate him even more. Why was he always like that with you? Friendly interactions with him and you are extremely rare. However, deep inside, you felt bad for him since he gets picked on by some friends of his old brother a lot despite his confident attitude, but you never showed it.

One rainy day at school, the bullying went a little too far. He got sick of his old brother's friends and they got angry and started a fight. They were too many against him. He was left sitting on the floor crying. His friends tried to comfort him in vain.

At the same time, you walked past him. Once he spotted you, he rushed towards you to hug you tightly, he was crying like crazy and trembling, you noticed the bruises on his skin, he looked like a mess. You never saw him like that. You tried to pull away by reflex but he was cling onto you too strongly.
