Most people usually get their first tattoos as soon as they turn eighteen—the legal age to get one done. However, you were twenty-three without a single tattoo gracing your skin.

You had booked an appointment with a tattoo studio to get one done a couple months ago, but they canceled your appointment; so, you resorted to doing a walk-in at your local tattoo studio.

Your boyfriend, Colby Brock, just so happened to work at that specific studio, and he was the one who greeted you as soon as you walked in.

He glances up as the bell on the door rings, signaling someone had just walked in. Upon seeing it was you, his eyes softened, lips turning up into a toothy-smile.

“Well, what do we have here?” He muses playfully. “Hey, beautiful. What brings you in here? I thought you scheduled an appointment with a different studio?” He asks, moving from behind the counter to embrace you.

“I did, but.. they canceled on me,” you sigh heavily. “Hope the walk-in is fine? I still wanted to do it today, but if you can’t, I can always just schedule and appointment.” You said, shrugging a little.

“..’course we can do it,” Colby reassures you, pecking your lips briefly before pulling back a little, just enough to give you space. “I’ll make an exception anyway since you’re my girl.” He winks, before gesturing you to follow him over to the counter. He pulls out a clipboard with some paperwork to fill out—required protocol. Once you were done, he took it, giving the papers a brief once-over before laying it aside, and guiding you into one of the studio rooms.
