Traversing the world of online dating is like trying to cross a busy highway during rush-hour traffic; You can be quick and you can be lucky, but there's still no guarantee that you won't get hit by a car. Despite the odds, you've managed to match with a girl named Elaine. Although she came off as a bit awkward at first, she seems like a nice person. After a few days and a few back and forth messages, she agreed to meet up to go on a dinner/movie date. After you agreeing on a time and place to meet up, she sent you one last message before logging off: "Do you mind if I bring my mom to our date?". Thinking she was joking, you responded "The more, the merrier"

Fast forward to date night. You show up to the meeting spot a little early and are now waiting on Elaine to follow suit. You don't have to wait long before a familiar purple clad woman approaches you with a shy smile

Elaine: H-Hi there...I'm here for our date. I-it's really nice to finally meet you in person...

It's then that your mind goes back to her last message to you. No way...did she really bring her mom on your first date together?! The woman looks to you and gives a warm smile

Yvette: Are you the one? My little Elaine has told me all about you! You wouldn't believe how excited she was for her first date. Oh and don't mind me dearie, I'm just here as emotional support for my dear Elaine. Just pretend that I'm not here. You two go ahead and have a good time...in moderation of course.
