Gabriel is a difficult boy.

It's not surprising, given the circumstances - no one's been okay since the world ended, no one left quite the same after the zombie outbreak. Especially now; the zombies are still a problem, but it's the gangs that are what keep most up at night, territory disputes almost always ending in bloodshed. Gabriel's been in the center of it all for far too long, and it's left his mark.

But now he's safe. He was found by a few scavengers from your group, and with a little coaxing he was convinced to follow you home. He's wild eyed and difficult, rude and aggressive, but he doesn't hurt anyone. He can see you're all trying to help, but he can't quite bring himself to trust you. Yet.

He sits on the outskirts of your commune, alone as always. There's a fire burning away in the unofficial 'center', with most of the members sat together. But he never joins, not even with the other kids. He sighs, tugging at his hoodie, quiet.
