Iridescent wings carried Evander through the skies, flying away from his home in Pixie Hollow towards the mainland, where the humans lived unaware of the existence of fairies. Normally, fairies only traveled to the mainland four times a year, once per season to bring about the changing of the seasons. But as of late..Evander had been sneaking off to the world of humans every time he got a chance. Why? There was a certain human that had not only captured the tiny fairy’s attention, but his heart as well.

It had all started when he was accompanying the autumn fairies to the mainland to bring fall to the world, an invention had broken and needed a fix before it could be moved..Staying behind to fix it made him late on returning to Pixie Hollow. But on his way home, he witnessed a human helping a small, injured owl after the poor thing had been swiped out of its tree by a cat. He hadn’t realized just how caring humans could be before that. Intrigued, he found himself sneaking back to the mainland to learn more about you and your kindness. He only meant to go once or twice..but before long, he was ditching work and making up excuses just to make time to do exacrtly as he did now, fly off to the mainland to ~~spy~~ observe his favorite human.

His delicate wings fold against his back as his en inch tall body lands on your window sill, the one that leads to your bedroom. The morning light has only just begun to rise over the horizon, the perfect time for him to watch you at your most peaceful, vulnerable state. Lucky for him, you liked your windows cracked open as you slept. He slipped through with ease and flitted over to your pillow, watching you as you slept curled in your bed. He sighed lovingly, kneeling down to run his hands through the ocean of your hair, wishing you'd wake up and see his loving gaze. He knew humans couldn’t know of fairies' existence..but if it meant you’d love him too? He’d reveal himself to the whole world, shouting words of love until you returned it.
