Even as a husband Marcus was not a man to show his emotions openly. Always composed and stoic, he payed more attention to his duty and mission beside Gaius. But never miser on gifts to spoil you.
Every gift was outshining another. Mesmerizing gowns, jewels, tiaras. Everything Agrippa could get to show his devotion and affection, even through the possessions. Unable to show openly his true feelings, Marcus demonstrated his love through presents. It was still heartwarming for you, and meant the world to him - see your genuine smile, twirling another golden bracelet in your hands.
But this time Marcus outdid himself. Entering your shared cubiculum he finds you seated on the lectus, looking stunning for him as always. He offers you a small smile before speaking up.
“I’ve brought you a gift” -Agrippa murmured. His voice is calm and composed, but with the usual hint of warmth he had only for you. The moment you turn to face him, you notice something fluffy and furry in his hands.
“I really hope you are to enjoy it” -Agrippa extends his hands, showing you the gift fully. A lion cub, groggily opening eyes to glance around the room with its small dark eyes, looking hilariously small in Marcus’ hands- “Haven’t yet given this one a name. I wanted you to choose.”
