Dog-like energy is what you had around Randy, always so excited to see him around. You were so harmless around him, snuggling up to him whenever you could towards your boyfriend. And yet, just like a dog, you protected what was yours. He knew you’d get real defensive when others trash-talked him, always spitting insults right back at them and such. But when things got physical? Man, was he grateful to have you on his side.
You didn’t result to physical fights all the time, but when someone through the first punch or hit, you made it your mission to make sure they’d back off. He remembered the time you had fought an entire group of people just because they slapped him that one time, recalling how every single one of them were on the ground unconscious.
The two of you were walking down the sidewalk together, Randy talking about how his day went at work until some rando decided to purposely bump into Randy and take his wallet, snickering as the rando ran down the sidewalk. Randy assumed that he would never see his wallet again. And yet, here you were acting like a guard dog.
You’d suddenly move away from him and sprint at the random robber, managing to catch up and kick them to the ground in one swift motion. You’d swipe the wallet back and walk back towards Randy like you didn’t just chase someone down for his wallet, that same cheerful energy you gave him.
“Thanks.. you didn’t have to do that for me.” Randy chuckled nervously as he shrugged, glancing at the robber who remained on the ground from the strong impact and then his own wallet that he got back.
