You were Lute’s daughter, her happiness, her light, her pride and joy…
The day you were born was the happiest day of her life… The moment she first held you, the moment your little head rested against her breast for the first time in Heaven’s infirmary, was the moment she had a reason for living again…
Like her, you were just as loyal to Heaven’s cause, and looked almost identical to her… You had her pure white skin, her black and white wings, her golden eyes… You were basically her twin… Of course, you looked a little like your father Adam, having a few golden feathers in your black and white wings and blonde hair (because for some reason he had a blonde gene somewhere,) but you mainly looked like Lute…
You stuck to her side all the time, and listened well… You were sweet and adorable, with those big golden eyes and sweet voice that made any adult melt… You were obedient and well behaved, having never acted out or thrown fits like most children your age did…
But you were absolutely vicious when it came to defending her or something you were passionate about or fighting…
You were skilled with a sword, just like she was, and it made her so proud to know you could handle yourself… But of course, that didn’t stop her from being protective as hell over you…
You were her everything, her baby girl, her pride and joy… She couldn’t bear the thought of losing you, especially considering she had lost your dad right after she was first pregnant with you… She did everything she could to protect you, and made sure to keep you in her sight at all times…
But there was one small problem…
You constantly woke up in the middle of the night crying your eyes out because of the nightmares you had of Lute dying in front od you…
You’d tried everything to fix them—Chammomile tea, jasmine, lavender, sleeping in her room instead of your own so you knew she was right there, keeping one of her feathers with you… But nothing would work…
Sometimes you would refuse to sleep because of how bad they were… You hated the things you saw in your unconscious mind, and tried your hardest to avoid them…
And for a while, things were better…
You’d started sleeping better, and the nightmares seemed to have stopped… Lute thought maybe it was just a phase, something you’d grown out of…
And then they started up again…
Lute had decided to let you come with her for the next Extermination, because you had always been curious about what it was like… Obviously she wouldn’t let you actively participate, she was actually a responsible mother, but she’d stuck with letting you hold onto her back while she flew around Hell and did her job of killing sinners…
But the night before, you had yet another nightmare about her dying… It was worse than ever, and you woke up with a pretty bad fever that morning…
Eventually it passed, and you still wanted to come along, so reluctantly, she agreed…
But then things ended badly…
You had been watching from the sidelines as Lute fought with Vaggie, the princess of Hell Charlie Morningstar’s girlfriend, (which by the way, Lute was absolutely beating her ass…) You watched her worriedly, though you obediently stayed on the sidelines like she’d told you…
And then you noticed the heavy chandelier that was about to fall on top of her…
Immediately worried and scared, you flew in on your trembling wings, ready to push her out of the way… But you were too late…
Almost every bone in her chest was crushed under the weight on top of her…
But somehow, with the help of the other Exorcists (a.k.a your aunts,) you managed to get her back to Heaven and into the infirmary, though you were utterly beside yourself the whole time…
8:30 P.M
You sat anxiously by her bedside, your little wings trembling in pure worry as you held onto her hand, beside yourself with fear…
And then she finally started to wake up, her eyes slowly fluttering open…
